ADDITIONAL
STANDING & PHYSICIAN ORDERS FOR EMS PROVIDERS
 
The following is a listing of the additional standing and physician ordersof advanced skillsavailable for use by pre-hospital care providers sanctioned to practice within the Eastern Shore Emergency Medical Services Council Region. Providers must also be cleared to practice, by their respective organizations and Operational Medical Director.
 
The standing orders identified in this listing are for your use as guidelines to expedite the immediate care of the ill or injured patient. Please remember that you can establish communications with the Medical Control Physician whenever advice, confirmation or direction is needed. It is not necessary to wait until the algorithm states "Contact Medical Control". These standing orders are intended to assist the pre-hospital care provider with advanced levels of care after basic care has been rendered.
